Is FaceApp Just Fun?

Social media is full of people posting aged versions of themselves for Throwback Thursday, enabled by FaceApp. Users don't pay cash for the app, but is it safe?

Columbus TV station WCMH asked Interhack founder C. Matthew Curtin whether the Russian-based FaceApp is safe.

Curtin stated plainly, "No free app is." Explaining further that users should look closely at the terms of service, and see just what they're agreeing to with use of free apps. He concludes that "If you're not paying for the product, then you are the product."
