Interhack to Appear at Fraud Conference

Interhack sponsors the Fifth Annual Emerging Trends in Fraud Investigation and Prevention Conference in Columbus, Ohio.

Interhack is pleased to return to the “Emerging Trends in Fraud Investigation and Prevention” conference. Representatives from Interhack's forensic computing practice will be there to discuss the use of computer technology in fraud investigation.

Since early 2000, Interhack's forensic computing practice has been providing investigators with competent technical support in complex matters for both criminal and civil cases. Focused on making the technology understandable, Interhack is not an advocacy firm, but will work on either side of litigation or criminal proceedings. Interhack's ground-breaking work has been cited in the Stanford Law Review as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit in its opinion defining protected content under the Electronic Communications Privacy Act of 1986 (ECPA).

The conference subtitled “Shedding Light on Criminal Behavior,” will be held at the Hilton Easton on April 25 and 26, 2005.

The conference is presented by the Auditor of State Betty Montgomery, Attorney General Jim Petro, the Central Ohio Chapter of Fraud Examiners, National White Collar Crime Center, Ohio Office of Criminal Justice Services, Ohio Society of CPAs, and the Ohio Investigators Association.
