Interhack Shares Expertise with Central Ohio Association for Justice

Computer science expert Matthew Curtin discusses analyzing electronic stored information for use in adjudication at the Central Ohio Association for Justice bi-monthly meeting.

Columbus, OH—Computer science expert Matthew Curtin discusses unassailable opinion and defensible analysis of electronic stored information for use in adjudication at the Central Ohio Association for Justice (COAJ) bi-monthly meeting on January 17, 2012. The COAJ is an association of trial attorneys. Constituents meet regularly at The Bluestone on E. Broad Street in Columbus. 

Matthew Curtin is the Founder of Interhack Corporation, a professional services firm providing computer expertise for use in adjudication. Applications of computer science for legal matters include data analysis, investigations, electronic discovery, and expert witness testimony. Mr. Curtin himself has appeared as an expert witness in both civil and criminal cases. 

Since 1999, Mr. Curtin has maintained a regular academic appointment as a Lecturer at The Ohio State University's Department of Computer Science and Engineering, teaching courses in the Common Lisp programming language and operating system implementation. He is the author of Brute Force: Cracking the Data Encryption Standard (Copernicus Books, 2005), which chronicles his experience as one of the coordinators of the first project in open research to break a message encrypted with the then-standard of the U.S. Government for data encryption.  His previous book, Developing Trust: Online Privacy and Security (Apress, 2001), discusses how to build online applications that are secure and respect the privacy of their users.
