Interhack Presents Case Study: Electronic Medical Records in Litigation

— filed under:

Columbus, OH—Computer science expert and Interhack Founder Matthew Curtin along with Greg Krabacher of Bricker & Eckler, LLP present Electronic Medical Records and Off Site Interface – Functional and Liability Concerns at the OSHRM 2012 Winter Conference on March 9th, 2012.

The right interdisciplinary team can make you confident in the defensibility of your response. Litigation counsel can help you understand the context of your work. A computer expert who may be called to testify and to defend the method can help you to understand how to facilitate getting the right people in place.

Curtin and Krabacher introduce a case study—litigation involving complex data, in this case electronic medical records. Will a printout of the record suffice? Is a production of the raw data necessary? How can searches be performed to the satisfaction of the court? Using the case study, Curtin and Krabacher walk the attendees step by step through the process by identifying these critical issues and working through them.

The OSHRM Winter Conference is hosted by the Blackwell Center at the Ohio State University.
