Cryptographic Key Management

Matt Curtin contrasts centralized and decentralized models for a network security course at Cedarville University.

Guest lecturing for Cedarville University, Matt Curtin will discuss key management in cryptographic systems for a course in network security on September 8. Bringing his unique blend of academic precision and practitioners' experience, Curtin will discuss major issues facing users and managers of cryptographic systems. Both centrally-administered public key infrastructure (PKI) systems and decentralized systems like PGP's “Web of Trust” will be discussed and compared.

Curtin will deliver the talk to a classroom in Cedarville from the West Campus of the Ohio State University, at the Ohio Supercomputing Center over a high-speed H.323 Internet link.
