HIPAA Security Rule Implementation Seminar

In conjunction with the Central Ohio chapter of ISSA, Interhack presents its seminar on HIPAA Security Rule Implementation.

COLUMBUS, OHIO (January 27, 2004)--Attention healthcare industry professionals! The Central Ohio Chapter of ISSA proudly presents a full-day seminar on implementation of the Security Rule of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

Our seminar shows the Security Rule's features, considers strategies for implementation, and discusses what to expect from each of the standards in the Rule. Material has been organized for administrators, compliance officers, and computer practitioners to be able to understand the Rule overall and how to bring their organizations into compliance. Consultants providing support to covered entities will also realize significant benefit.

Taught by a practicing attorney and an information security practitioner, the seminar is a standard-by-standard examination of the Security Rule. Lectures and exercises take students through the Rule, looking at what it means, how various standards interact with each other, and what strategies might be employed for Rule implementation.
