The meeting will be held from 11:30am until 1:00pm. Please R.S.V.P. with Gary Davis at gdavis@dispatch.com or 614-461-5208 by Friday, November 8, 2002.  Slides are available.

A great deal of effort and money is presently being spent in an attempt to secure the national infrastructure of the United States. A significant portion of this effort is directed toward securing the information infrastructure.

Internet security expert Matt Curtin will consider the desired results of such effort. He will then show how many of the ideas being considered at present are fundamentally incorrect, and are more likely to result in greater vulnerability to attack. The discussion will conclude with the presentation of a set of requirements for information systems involved in a secure information infrastructure.
