Requirements for a Secure Information
Infrastructure
At the September 18, 2002 meeting of the
Dayton
chapter of InfraGard, Interhack founder Matt
Curtin will present "Requirements for a Secure
Information Infrastructure." The meeting will be
held from 3:00pm to 5:00pm at Wright State
University. Slides
are
available.
A great deal of effort and money is presently being
spent in an attempt to secure the national
infrastructure of the United States. A significant
portion of this effort is directed toward securing
the information infrastructure.
Internet security expert Matt Curtin will consider
the desired results of such effort. He will then
show how many of the ideas being considered at
present are fundamentally incorrect, and are more
likely to result in greater vulnerability
to attack. The discussion will conclude with the
presentation of a set of requirements for
information systems involved in a secure information
infrastructure.
InfraGard

enforcement, academia, and industry to enhance the
security of the U.S. information infrastructure.
